Our Traditoinal Worship
Our Traditoinal Worship
Our traditional worship meets at
9:00 am. At this service you will ex-
perience the familiar elements of
Lutheran worship. Great hymns of
the faith and liturgies are accom-
panied by our pipe organ and
grand piano. Yoou may hear the
Sanctuary Choir, Handbell Choir or
a variety of instrumental and vocal
groups. All these add to the wor-
ship experience and our renew our
spiritual walk.
Our Unique Worship
We offer special worship experi-
ences throughout the year that fall
outside our regular worship. These
services are designed to enable wor-
shippers to celebrate in fresh and
different approaches. Please check
the calendar on our website for
dates and times.
Our Cowboy Worship
Once a year our worship team
plans a “Cowboy Worship Service.”
We enjoy the fact that our Texas
heritage is honored by all dressing
in their Texas dud’s. The praise
team leads the congregation in
songs with a cowboy flavor, poems
representing a cowboy’s faith and
between the services a traditonal
chuck wagon breakfast of biscuts
and gravy are served.
Our Youth Led Worship
Our Praise Worship
Our Praise and Worship services
are held at 11:00 am. This worship
is lead by our dynamic Praise Team
and Band. You will experience up-
lifting praise and intimate worship
as we come together to exalt the
name of the Lord. The worship
moves from our new sanctuary (1
& 3 Sunday’s of each month) and in
our old sanctuary (2 & 4 Sunday’s
of the month), where coffee and
food are offered in a casual wor-
ship atmospher.
Our Neighboorhood Picnic
On the third Sunday of each
September Zion Lutheran along
with Barnett Chapel and Mt. Olive
Baptist Church gather together to
worship and fellowship together.
This special time is an opportunity
for this neighborhood to come to-
gether as one body in Christ to
share our faith and renew our com-
mon love for each other.
Every 5th Sunday our young adult
class leads worship. They provide
the music (they are their own
praise band) and the sermon
through drama. These young peo-
ple are extraordinarily talented as
they bring us a spiritual encounter
with God through their devotion to
serving God and the church by
their offering.
Our Children in Worship
We love children and consider them a
vital part of our church family. There
are children’s worship bags in the
narthex that will help your child
connect with the service. A nursery is
available during morning worship
and Sunday school.
Our Sacramental Worship
Lutheran celebrate two sacraments:
baptism and Holy Communion. We
celebrate communion on the 1 & 3
Sunday’s of each month. You do not
need to be a member of Zion
Lutheran to participate, all are
welcome. We service both wine and
no alcohol grape juice. You will find
the grape juice is light colored and
located on the center of the tray.
